The Challenge
The project I got from a teacher who lives in Cambodia. He self-publishes books besides his teaching profession. Teacher Kim experienced struggles to find the right professional who had the capacity to maintain the visual integrity and rhythmic spacing of his verses at the same time across multiple formats (i.e.paperback, kindle).
The Solution
Upon reviewing the file and his requirements, I provided a manual, high-precision formatting service. The project got completed within just a 72-hour turnaround. Key technical aspects included:
Custom Typesetting: Applied typography that preserves the poetic tone while ensuring readability.
Structural Integrity: Meticulously managed the use of fonts, spacing (white space), stanza breaks, asterisks, and indents in order to make sure the author’s intent was conveyed.
Cross-Platform Compatibility: I crafted a layout that remains consistent and great-looking in both paperback(print) and eBook versions.
The Result
The project I was awarded via Fiverr. Successfully helped resolve the layout issues that his previously hired freelancer could not. Provided the author with ready-to-upload files for global self-publishing. He gave my service a five-star rating and left invaluable comments.
